Hi,

So I've just made the final payment on my IVA.. and now await my completion certificate..
Start Date; 23rd December 2013.

I now have a couple of concerns in relation to my credit report it shows as 2 of the creditors on my IVA as being defaulted in March 2017 & June 2017 respectively, despite them being part of my IVA. We are looking at getting a shared ownership mortgage around March/April next year & will be the full 6 years clear of the IVA start date in December 2019. I just don't want the dates of these defaults to affect our chances of getting one.. we are comfortably within affordability for a shared ownership mortgage, so now is the time for us to save a deposit until the end of the year. But I don't want that to be for nothing to be told we can't have one because of a default from the beginning of the IVA with the wrong date..

Can anyone help with what we do in this situation?

Thanks, Lewis.

Have a read here and use the template letter to get the defaults changed: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record

Well done on getting to the end :-)

Once you get that completion letter then set about checking your credit rating.

Hi Lewis,

Once you've had the default dates amended and you are 6 years after the IVA start date - so from December this year - we have access to High Street Lenders who will look to lend on Shared Ownership properties.
