I am in the final year of IVA. I completed the 5 years and am now doing additional 1 year as I cannot remortgage.
My mother in law has offered to pay the final years payment for me. Do you think this will be accepted.

Personally I would plough on with your IVA as by the time you have organised the F&F offer and it has been accepted you will be almost there anyway

If your mother in law is willing, maybe she could help out with the occasional shopping trip, or tank of fuel during the last year to make life a little easier for you.

I agree with Luluj --- it usually takes around 3 months to get through the syatem and you will not be really saving much time-wise as the IVA will remain on record until the end of the 6th year anyway, even if closed tommorrow.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
