I had a savings scheme which I forgot to disclose but I did when I remembered. Amount of scheme was just over £1600.00, however as I was owed £250.00 from IVA which Freeman Jones informed me of, (I was not aware of the £250.00 credit). I was informed by Freeman Jones that the amount of £1606.00 outstanding would be reduced by the credit of £250 making a balance outstanding of £1356.25. They are now reneging on this & denying the credit of £250.00 & now saying that I have to pay the amount of £1606. I have confirmation in writing from Freeman Jones that they owed me £250.00. In writing F Jones stated that I owed £1356.25 & NOT £1606, they are now reneging on this.
We do have an FJ rep on here - hopefully he will pick up on this.

Thanks for the post. I know that my Relationship Manager colleague Liam has sent you a breakdown of our calculations in answer to your query. Whilst i appreciate the replies & all of the information, also I understand & agree that any debt accrued by me has to be paid to my creditors & I have no issue with that. It is my responsibility to pay my debts but when the organisation that deals with my IVA informs me in writing, in writing, that the debt on the variation was £1600 but had been reduced by a credit of £250.00 (they reduced the balance, not me, they informed & initiated this, not me) to make a balance outstanding of £1356.25 why are they now denying this? That's what I don't understand & how can I trust or believe anything that they might tell me or write to me concerning my IVA? They informed me in writing of the credit & the reduction of the balance owed to £1356.25 & NOT £1600.00. I was informed of this in writing & there were numerous correspondences about this so they must have been aware of the credit & the amount of £1356.25
Once the variation is paid off (if ever) they could inform me of other payments if this experience is anything to go by. So the IVA never finishes???
The confirmation of the balance was an e-mail so I could send them a hard copy through the post & also e mail them there e-mail. Thanks for the advice but I have no confidence that they will reduce the variation even though they initiated it & informed me of the credit & change (reduction) in the outstanding balance of the variation.
I have already informed them of the date & time of the e-mail that they sent me & provided a copy of the wording that they used on said e-mail. I can only repeat that I appreciate the advice but have absolutely no confidence that the reduction of the outstanding balance will be honoured.
