Im new to the forum and looking at possibly starting an IVA with my creditors. From reading information on this forum I have noticed that when you stop payments to HSBC they freeze all the accounts you hold with them. My question is if you have your mortgage held with them does this also apply to this account as payments would continue to be made to this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there and a warm welcome to the forum

This will not affect your mortgage with HSBC as this is secured against your property - so as long as you continue to make all payments when they are due your property will be safe.

Thanks Melanie, that is a big weight off my mind. It is a really nerve racking time just deciding the best option.
