Hi folks
Not posted for a while, but we would love to come to the party. Family/friends don't know of IVA so be great to be able to talk with "same boat" folks. Both Looking forward to it, albeit with a small amount of trepidation, cos not sure what to expect, but if everyone is as friendly and welcoming in person as they have been on the forums, we reckon we'll be OK!! Just "BE GENTLE WITH US F/F VIRGINS PLEASE !!!!!
Regards
Roadrunners
we'll make it !!

It's a first time for me as well, even though I am quite a prolific poster and have been here since March.

I feel the same as you, some trepidation, even though I think I know what to expect.

I have made some good friends on here, who I am looking forward to meeting. Just a bit nervous, so you won't be on your own there!

No need for nerves guys,I totally understand though as I was the same when I first went. There wll always be someone there to welcome you, or meet outside if preferred. Everyone is friendly just the same as on the forum.
It is so nice to put names to faces and to chat freely. Just an evening with friends, what better.

When Ang and I first said we would go to the first B'ham meeting, we were both up for it but when the day came, I was terrified. We had emailed each other several times about our plans to meet at new st, station. I so wanted to bail out, but I knew Ang would be there waiting for me. I just went, I spoke to a complete stranger, looking lost on a mobile phone, (Hi I'm Lily). She looked at me with that look, it wasnt Ang. As I got on the escalator Ang was at the top, we both just smiled at each other. It was fine after that. It is nerve wrecking at the start but we ended up laughing our socks off.
