So my girlfriend is potentially thinking about offering a full and final settlement to get me out the IVA having only been in it a year paying £150 a month.
She is very concerned that it will affect her in some way (in regards to credit rating) and by her paying it off it will tie her to the debt in some way and will affect her getting a mortgage.
Can some of the experts please give their opinion on this and let me know if this is the case?
Also my girlfriend is very worried about showing her bank statements and ID to the insolvency practitioner. Can they do anything with this information? She is worried it will tie her to to the debt in some way
You have nothing to worry about - her credit rating will not be impacted. She will not be tied into the debt and should be able to get a mortgage.
Your IP will do nothing with her bank statement and ID. It is purely to check for money laundering, which she will not have done.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

It is little different to if she decided to pay off your credit card -- it does not link her to the debt in any way.
As Kallis says the ID is for money laundering purposes and the bank statement is to prove the money is there for the offer. Again she will not be linked to your debt at all.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
