Hi all . My sister was going to offer a f+f a year ago but she was going through a mortgage application and wasn't sure of a position now things are settled she wants to offer again. I pay £166 a month , the total was 9960 and I have 6800 remaining. Would 5k be acceptable to offer ? Also do I have to inform ip of my decision to offer a f+f? I'm with creditfix. I have no property and I'm a single parent . My income hasn't changed since starting the IVA and although it's the best decision I made I would like it to be over . Thanks in advance for your help

Saving about 40 months ( on your figures ), so I would think £5k would be looked at seriously.

You have to make the offer through your IP, who will present it to creditors on your behalf.

So is it ok just to send the letter, I'd and bank statement for my sister or do I need to speak to someone stating my intention of moving forward with a f+f?

I would send the letter and enclosures direct to your IP, by recorded delivery and then follow up with a phone call a few days later as CF are notorious for ignoring contact from clients and getting back to them --- you have to do all the chasing !

IPs vary as to what they want in F&Fs. I would send in the letter myself first and CF will say what, if anything, they also need and from whom.

Letter sent so fingers crossed. Also all my debts have been sold on so who voted the original creditors or the new ones ? Does this have any bearing on the vote as to how it's likely to go . Thanks

The new debt owners will be voting ---- which could be a good thing -- they would have bought the debts for pennies and a quick killing would be more attractive to them.

I have the variation meeting tomorrow but a payment should have been taken yesterday and hasn't come out. Is this the norm when an offer has gone in?

Not the norm, but maybe your IP is awaiting the result of the meeting. He / she would be the one in the know.

Good luck for the meeting.

Good luck from me as well.
