23 months paying into my iva ,had a blip and gambled this months payment , stressed out what can I say to my I.p only hope I have is that I'm four weekly paid , and will be paid twice in August think they will consider the payment be gutted if they terminate my iva nearly 2 years paid in iva gutted
Speak to your IP and ask that they will grant you a month's payment break (so adding the missed payment on at the end). You need to also show him / her that you aren't gambling regularly --- seek to get online accounts barred and maybe get some counselling. Finally try to arrange your IVA payments to also be 4 weekly and paid by direct debit a couple of days after pay day, so you do not have access to the payment for too long.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I agree with Foggy - get yourself banned and speak to your IP asap.

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

If you have a tendency to binge gamble, then perhaps look for your nearest Gamblers anonymous meetings. Self excluding yourself is a great idea and I would go the extra length to make sure the staff know what you look like, as they send a picture to three local branches, its better to pop in and tell them why you don't want to go into the shop. You will need a passport photo, otherwise its free.
I would strongly suggest help if you have had any previous problems with gambling, as much as I think its a great idea to ban yourself, there are shops everywhere.
I have just writing an eBook on gambling and the knock on effect it has on a persons like, spookily enough its going live on kindle this week.
I have just written a book about the perils of gambling. Part of the book is my IVA story - The book is available on kindle and paperback on Amazon and its called "The insanity of Gambling" it looks like me now with the flat cap and the bike although I haven't gambled for many years
