There are recommendations. Unfortunately, I don't know them.

Your IP will be able to advise once you have completed an I&E.

Welcome to the forum :)

I'm a single person too and i'm claiming:-

£225 Food & Housekeeping
£20 Clothing

I claim a bit for contact lenses, insurance etc etc but the best thing to do is just put down what you actually spend, especially for utility bills etc.

Even though i'm now living abroad these figures were pretty much what i was claiming in the UK too.

Hopefully this gives you a bit of an idea.

Speak to your IP who will have the CCCS guidelines but remember to mention anything that is not listed as these guidelines are not supposed to be set in stone.

Put down exactly what you spend on everything, not forgetting all the incidentals like haircuts, dentists, things you might not always think about.

The CCCS upper guidelines for a single person are:-

£195 monthly for housekeeping and
£28 for clothing

But as the others have said work out what you actually spend and discuss this with the IP you choose to represent you.
