Gym membership - hi I currently pay £38 a month for my gym membership , after the lockdown I am looking at joining a new gym that offers unlimited pt sessions for £150 a month , I don’t usually use all of my petrol and food allowance and don’t always use the £30 a month for my hair , so I have worked out if I cut back on certain things ( quite smoking and no drinking ) I can comfortably afford the new membership price , my question is would my iva practitioner pick up on this and have a issue with the gym membership being more expensive ? I am over weight and my job is very active so loosing the weight with a Pt would benefit me in so many ways , but not sure if it’s allowed or not :) thank you

If you are just 'diverting' current allowances and cutting back on a few things to fund the PT sessions, I see no issue. Problems might arise if you try to increase your agreed allowances, however. But, at the end of the day, it will depend on the view your IP decides to take.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
