Hi!
I'm on my 4th year of my review, but I notice that the form they send me to fill up doesn't have an expenditure for gym membership. Which is me & my wife both a member. That's £60 every month. Do I have to query this to my IP or this expenses is not allowed anymore on IVA annual expenses.?

I do not know as gym membership is specially mentioned, but we did have social allowance but not £60 each. You will perhaps need to make savings in other areas if this is something you value. Who are you with?

Is it an allowance you've been allowed up to now?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I am surprised if it has been allowed up to now. I used to get £10 for the both of us for social and entertainment ... which meant we could take it in turns to go to the cinema !!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I'm with grant Thorton and neither social allowance is on the form. And for clarification it's £60 per month for the both of us. £30 each.

I think if this has been allowed up until now you have probably been lucky.

I haven't seen any gym fees this high being accepted. Would you be able to make savings elsewhere?

My gym membership is £37 but it is money well spent. I go everyday and it ultimately stops me spending elsewhere

We weren't allowed gym membership or offered a social allowance either.

My gym membership had to come from savings elsewhere in the budget ..weren't given a specific amount... think you may have been lucky until now.

Very lucky I did not get a social budget either.
1st payment Oct 2008, last payment Dec 2013. Certificate received March 2015 due to PPI claim.
