Hey many thanks for all of your reply's. I guess it was a bit of a scare tactic, but its always nice to know how things could go.
I guess one of the best things we did was to change our phone number before we got into this, so we could never tell how many phone calls we have got!![:)]
Thanks everybody for your help.

I had a postcard written in red from Mercers when I was entering into my IVA but again they didn't visit. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Lesley - that's a special touch to let the postman and everyone you live with know about your private financial situation. I work in financial services marketing (for another 2.5 days) and am pretty sure this is on the borderline of legal and must contravene a few data protection and regulatory guidelines.

I feel really strongly about the unfairness of us taking responsibility for our debt while they refuse to acknowledge their part and treat us like dirt.

Hi
I had a postcard from one of MBNA debt collecting agencies to say some one was going to call. When I telephoned it was just a trick to try and get me to make a payment. I agree with Broke of London you do wonder about Data Protection which does not seem to apply when you owe money!

Broke of London, I totally agree it bordered on legal but if only I knew then what I knew now I would have dealt with it differently but you live and learn or I certainly have and at that time I turned to the forum for reassurance which was given and passed it to my IP but now....well that would be a whole different story.

I concur. I would use the word profession very very very loosely.

You're right there - totally the wrong word. I could think of a few choice ones but would probably get booted off if I put them down here![:D]
