Hi, I had an iva which started in June 2010 and was paid in full in October 2012 but would have remained on my credit file until June 2016. My question is that I am now looking to get home insurance through my bank and i have to say that I have not had an iva in the last 5 years. Would I be ok to agree that I haven't, as it finished 6 years ago, or not, as it was still recorded up to two years ago?

If the completion certificate was issued more than 5 years ago then you have not had or been in an IVA for at least 5 years. The fact that it was on record a few years ago is not relevant.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Check your credit records and also make sure you are off the Insolvency Register before answering.

Thanks for the replies. I am definitely off the register and have a clean credit file.

I'd agree with the others that you should be ok to answer no.
