hi can i run something past you please. some of you know me on here although I dont post too often . my daugther as CP which has left her with physical disabities she is now almost 17 and we are hoping to get her a sindependent as possible. therefore we have begaun to leave her at home whilst we go locally shopping only for around 30-40 mins this as never been a problem till recently she has always been happy to sit in her room and wtch tv etc with things at hand so if she needs to use the loo its not a problem as she as a rollator and can get herself there. however now she would like to stay downstairs which i think is expected dont want her to be cooped up it is unfair but we do not have a WC downstairs , we have a small porch to the side of the house and off this is a toilet now if we were to put a PVC door on the porch we could turn the loo into a internal one and she could access this independently. here the question though, do you think my IP would allow my hubby to work overtime withpout paying in 50% to pay fr this? otherwise its gonna take months is it a reasonable request we will provide recipts etc . thanks thoughts appreciated x

Can you not get a disabled facilities grant from your local authority to pay for this?
It will mean a visit from an occupational therapist.
Well worth considering or looking into

I would not have a problem in authorising this if I were you IP - but I do agree that public funding ought to be available. Get some quotes and see how much it is going to cost first, and then have a chat with your IP to discuss the possibility - which may need to be run past creditors before being formally confirmed.
