hi i started my iva in feb 06 with freeman jones, so soon we will be discussing equity release but with my partner working part time so will this go against us? and if so should she stay part time in the mean time?
Hi s.w, not many of us may be able to remortgage at the minute due to the climate but always discuss with your IP as they may suggest some lenders to you.
Working part-time doesn't necessarily go against you.
I'm expecting a further 12 months premiums although I'm a long way off yet so things could change x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I know we won't be able to remortgage as hubby will be an OAP by then and I won't be far off!
It may well be that you have to continue for another twelve months, but it's a small price to pay to be debt free.

Freeman Jones are part of thethink money group, part of that group is mortgage advice and brokers they may suggest that a member of that team contact you to discuss, oryou could contact the thinkmoney solutions centre and speak to them and they will let your IVA Account Manager no
We just have to contact two high street brokers, and if they can't help, or the extra payments are more than 50% of our mortgage payments, then we can't remortgage.

well freeman jones tried to push for a early equity release with one of there associates sometime ago but they said "no can't help" so it looks like an extra 12 months then which ain't to bad i guess. Also i shocked when I'm received my last yearly statement showing I've hardly paid any to my 6 debtors when I've paid over 13k which is a bit wierd?
Heh I'm with FJ justed finished IVA after 60 months (3rd May) they were really helpful did not have to release any further monies due to no equity and something to do with IVA protocol did not want a further 12 months either I was happy to do this but has been concluded x

At last my final monthly payment was in april 11 and have just found out that the creditors have accepted my contributions as F/F and that i don't need equity release or extended 12 months and just waiting for the paperwork to come through, WOW that was a tough 5 years even though i messed freeman jones about (misssing poayments, not sending documents) they were very helpful. Thanks to everyone who is involved in this forum got great advice and support. Here's to getting my life back on track[:D]
