Hi Donna. There are a lot who do ... mainly with credit cards (Vanquis, Capital One, Aqua and many others). What is your situation ? Are you in an IVA, or recently out of one ?

If you have had an IVA your credit score will not improve much until the IVA clears off the credit files, along with any defaults --- this is usually the 6th anniversary of the start of the arrangement.

Have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

They will only take an extra year if you are a homeowner with equity in your house and unable to remortgage. If you have taken any payment breaks then these will be added on at the end.

As regards new credit - try cards that do a soft search which will not impact on your credit rating to see if you are likely to be accepted or not.
