hi my husband is seriously ill and we are both in an iva of 2 years we have asked if it can be closed down early will they do this on his health or will they want equity release or get me to take over iva so worried now

It depends on many things. For different reasons my IVA, linked to my wife's, became untenable about half way through and, in that case, creditors agreed to shut them down based on payments made to date. So it can happen.

You really need to speak with your IP sooner rather than later.

I'm sorry to hear of your husbands ill health and the impact it is having on your iva.

As foggy suggests your IP should be your support in this and should help you build a positive case for your iva to end based on payments to date.
