I have a friend who wants to go bankrupt but is currently subject to an HMRC investigation relating to 2006/07. If he went bankrupt now would any increase in tax due for this previous tax year still fall within his bankruptcy?

All taxes due until 5 April 2011 would fall as a debt in his bankruptcy.
