It has always amazed me how many breaks and how long they are that tradesmen have!

I've had a building full today and watched them all on camera. The 3 Window Cleaners had 3 breaks in 5h 30 mins, morning of 45 mins, lunch of an hour and a 15 min one lol.

The two electricians I had in had 2 breaks already of 1 hour eachand they will prob have another one before they go haha.

I just wonder how they get away with it with their bosses......cos I wanna know their secret so I can do it as well [;)]

But Luke you're at work and on here so technically that's a break?

My hubby is an electrician and I'm wondering now how many breaks he has! I know it's a coffee before any job can be started!

Haha I do not get any breaks at all Lesley in a 12 hour shift as I have no relief as I'm a lone worker [:(]

I have full internet access at work while sat watching my CCTV cameras and dealing with the guys requests who are doing jobs in here, unlocking doors, showing where stuff is etc.....

Is that legal to have no break Luke?

I don't know the rules but know I couldn't do it without at least a change of scenery.

Not legal at all, but it's common practice in the insurance industry where you have lone man sites such as say empty offices and building sites (Night shifts).

They argue that as you spend most of your time doing nothing really, like reading or watching DVD's that most of your shift is one long break......
