Are you in an IVA? If so you will fail any credit checks. Better to be upfront with agencies and see if they will work around with increased deposit, more advance rent or a guarantor. Otherwise try private landlords who don't use an agency, who do not usually credit check. A reference from the present landlord will also help.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
I passed cr fit check and had been in IVA for a year when needed to rent a place. Some rent company's might find it a good thing as guaranteed to get paid as this is put into your IVA rent payments.
You may need to provide 6 months rent up front - to do this is impossible when in an iva unless you have family member willing to pay it out for you as a gift.
Best to find a private landlord and be upfront with them

Best of luck with search on renting.
Hello everyone
My IVA just got approved on the 1st of February, but due to our circumstances me and family has to look for a more affordable flat to rent
It will be 4 of us in the contract but 1 of us is in IVA( me) My hubby and sons has good credit score, do you think we will fail the reference check?
You will fail the check but your family should be ok. You can always go down as a lodger or try private rentals as they are less likely to do credit checks.
Can I ask that you don't resurrect old threads but start new ones of your own.

The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.
