Only people that keep phoning me are Lloyds, all my other creditors have been fine apart from a few letters, I'm obviously getting off very very lightly.
They do threaten you with debt collectors, but it is very rare that they turn up. Even if they do, you're not obliged to speak to them and once you tell them you're going for an IVA, they go away.
Comunicate by letter at all times.
I informed all creditors that I would not respond to them by telephones and warned them of my rights.
I informed them that I am recording all calls and frequency.
I did respond to all letters and quickly.
I bought a cheap pasy as you go mobile and informed all freinds and familly.
As regards my mobile, all I did was put all the numbers Mercers/Barclaycard use into the phone, make my ringtone for those numbers the same as my text message tone so I could either just let it ring or cut the call off.
I found the calls started the moment I wrote to my creditors to tell them I'm going into a IVA.
Best to ignore them, as news of the IVA has gone through they should eventually stop.
The other option would be to get BT to change your number
