Valerie has been paying onto Invocas for a number of years, she is almost finished and only got 30 left to pay.

She would like to know how can she get her discharge letter and where does she stand.

She believes the company is no longer trading as she has been unable to get in touch with them what so ever and has been online to find that other client's have not been able to reach them either.

Her telephone number is *****tel phone number removed by moderator as not allowed**** and she is available after 16:00 on Monday 16:00.

Firstly I removed your telephone number to comply with forum rules.

Secondly who was the iva company?

When you say you have 30 left ? Is that 30 payments ?

Discharge letter ? Do you mean completion certificate or are you looking to fail your iva ?

Sorry so many questions but really do need a few more details to be able to answer your questions.

Use your supervisors name on the Insolvency Service site to check his or her contact details, and try to get hold of them direct.

https://www.gov.uk/find-an-insolvency-practitioner

You will find his name on the proposal.

The norm would be that the cases would be transferred/sold to another IP to take over.

Thanks for answering me Julie-shouldn’t someone have contacted me?
Because I’m almost finished paying the amount due ie £30-will it cost me more money to finalise the IVA.
Would you be prepared to help me?

We can only offer advice on forum and suggest you try some of the things suggested above. Once you have made all of your agreed payments there should be no more cost to you to finalise matters.

Where does this £30 come from? It is too small for an IVA payment.

What is the name of your IP and their firm?

Are you sure you're not in a debt management plan instead of an IVA?

Hi no I’m definitely in an IVA , my husbands finished last year and he received a discharge letter.
I was paying £200 a month but the lady payment was for £30.
The Cpany name is Invocas based in Livingstone, Scotland.

Hi Lisa
Yes I have tried sending e-mails-but they bounce back. One phone number let’s uou leave a message-which I have done, but no response and the other states that there is a fault on the line!!
I think I have tried most things and I am really struggling to find an answer now.

The Insolvency Service still list the IP as Adam Southard. You can get contact details by searching here:

https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/fip1/

Just pop Invocas into the company name box, hit search, and his details will come up for you.

Hi Foggy
Thanks for that-but it gives the same phone number and address that I have been trying unsuccessfully for weeks-so no further forward.
