Hey all, right so I’m struggling at the moment, as I’ve just gone into partnership with my brother in law. But I can’t get any public liability insurance, I’ve tried and tried.and I fill out the questions. Then the dreaded question at the end. (Have you or your partner ever been Made bankrupt or entered an iva) now either way. I wouldn’t lie. But even if I was to lie. If I had to claim on it they’d see i would have an iva. But when I check the box. Yes I’m currently in my iva and then go to find quotes. Absolutely nothing at all. But as soon as I click no on that box, thousands of quotes.. like god how is this fair!!! I made my mistakes. I’m paying all my debt back Too.. but please man give me a break! Do you guys know any companies that offer public liability with people with an iva? Please help me out

It seems you are using comparison sites --- which will block you out automatically. Try approaching the insurers direct --- it still might take some time ! Apparently a few have had a degree of luck with Hiscox. Also investigate whether there are any trade associations which offer insurance as part of a membership bundle ( although the IVA might still kick you out of these schemes).

It means you posted the same question twice on a different thread which could cause confusion.

Hi -- yes, thank you, I am well, as, I hope are you :-)

I just put the two questions in the same thread to keep all replies together --- as Kallis says, it could get confusing otherwise ( and I am easily confused !!! ) .
