If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Do you mean me?!?! [:D]

That's a good idea Andy!

It wouldn't be so bad if I actually knew some people who are going, but I'll only know Dave and 3 others which is another reason I don't want to hang around afterwards!

I must admit I don't like weddings at all, I find them boring. We were supposed to go to one last Saturday night and did the awful thing of not going! x

I do as well Lesley.

The only good thing about Dave's son's wedding next year is that Dave has said he'll pay for us to stay in a hotel overnight! I might have to drive back though, depending on whether we can get a Harry sitter!

I find the church service boring, but do like to go and see the dresses and I do normally enjoy the reception. Depends on whose the wedding is.

My daughter's fiance is Catholic so they will marry in a Catholic Church. She has stated that she won't be converting so at least we will be spared the nuptial mass!

The other good thing is a shopping spree to find something new to wear. At least with it being a November wedding I can wear long boots!

I wore comfy flat boots to the Christening last year and a nice warm ankle length Russian style military coat! I'm afraid comfort came before style!

Style before comfort here still I'm afraid, not that I get to buy much these days but did have a splurge in Primark last weekend, oh how I've changed!

Comfort for me everytime! I don't do style at all! When daughter eventually ties the knot I will be doing the comfort bit and no hat!

Won't be doing anything in my hair! Not got a lot to do anything with really!

My heels killed me at FF last year - I tried but doubt I'll do it again!

I'm sure I'll have a little cry there too and I love getting dressed up!

I do enjoy social occasions tho.

I would be the same Helen although I haven't been to a good wedding for ages! I'm originally from Essex so of course I like getting dressed up - need I say more?!

Didn't cry at stepdaughters wedding and stepsons is an occasion best forgotten!

I keep trying to persuade daughter to get married abroad, but it's falling on deaf ears at the moment.

Hubby and I have both said that we cannot see her in a wedding dress.

She dresses up even less than I do!
