I completely paid off in full my creditor in April 2017 I paid everything I owed not just IVA as I had got some money from my divorce. I have now inherited enough to put now a deposit for a shared ownership scheme will I be able to get a small mortgage or even a 10 year bank loan for £550000 approx. I am 60 next year so I intend to work until I’m 66 then I have an occupational pension

Have you had your completion letter yet?

Your IVA will remain on your credit record for six years from the start. You can speak to either of our mortgage experts, Ryan or Shaun for advice.

I agree with Kallis -- have a word with Ryan and / or Shaun ... you will find their contact details by clicking on their names ( towards the bottom of the list in yellow) by following this link:

If a mortgage is do-able the term will be very much based on years to retirement so may restrict you a little. Ryan or Shaun I am sure will be able to respond and advise.

It may depend on when the IVA began - we'd be happy to take a look if you were to contact us.
