I have got my self into some personal debt to the sum of about £18k. The problem I have is I am a partner in a reasonably sucessful business and I also have a couple of joint loans with my husband for about £7K and we own our own house (with mortgage. Is it possible to look at an IVA without involving my business or husband.

If you have business debts in the partnership, these would need to be included into your IVA, and if you are property owner you would probably have to advise your husband as his consent to exploring a re-mortgage at the end of the IVA is likely to be needed.

Hi and welcome to the forum, why not have a chat with an IP who can give you case speicifc advice. Take a look at www.iva.com if you want for a list of companies and some reviews of these.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
