I have just been contacted by the consumer credit something or other stating that i was mis-sold my IVA and that there is new legislation that means i stop the payments to my iva, pay them £1200 , £600 pound court fees to go bankrupt and there are no further payments? does this sound correct?

Hi, I am new to all this but not sure how can you be mis-sold and IVA. It is my understanding that your IP acts on your behalf and your creditors have agreed the proposal put forward. I would contact your IP as it sounds like some kind of scam.

I could be completely wrong of course and a more experienced member of the forum will be along shortly I'm sure to offer an explanation.

I feel for you, hope this gets sorted soon.

Don't even entertain them with a return phone call. They are NOT looking after your best interests, they are after your money and will leave you in a very stressful condition once you realise what they have done to you. Stick with advice over your finances directly from your IP or from the IP's who post on this forum.

These companies charge a fortune for something you could easily do yourself for FAR less.

If you're happy with your IVA then why fix whats not broke?

It's very dodgy. ignore them. If you have any problems with your IVA then contact your IP in the first instance.

Integrity seem to be doing the rounds again at the moment as we have both had letters from them.

They've been consigned to the recycling bag - have to do our bit for the environment don't we?

How on earth does someone who knows nothing about your individual case, have the neck to even suggest that in their opinion you might have been mis-sold a banana, let alone an IVA. Complete tosh!

Ignore them, like the others have said if you felt bankruptcy was the best option then you can do this yourself and avoid the £1,200 admin costs !!

How can anybody who knows absoloutely nothing about your circumstanes suggest you have been mis sold an IVA.

If you have any concerns then speak to your IP !
