Hi, I've recently re-mortgaged (4 months ago) to try to pay off some of my debts. Unfortunately all this did was help my keep my head above water for a few months and now I'm back in the same situation. I've been trying to mange my debt without going into an IVA but I feel that I haven't got a choice now. My question is, will the re-mortgage work against me when applying for this?

It shouldn't go against you, in itself, but it might have reduced your disposable income sufficiently to make an IVA unattractive to creditors. All depends on the full set of circumstances and the resulting figures.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Did you pay off all of your unsecured creditors with the secured lending?

How much are your unsecured creditors?
