I have read Skippy's details but I do not know how to use blog and ask questions. I have spoken to Bridgewood before but we are still struggling even though my husband is now working. We have had to pay for his car being serviced, taxed and repaired and have borrowed some money off a friend how do we explain this?

Hi Carol,

You can ask any questions by posting like you have just done.

Are you in an IVA?

According to this:

they are with Blair Endersby and have been for a while.

I am curious to know why you would have been speaking to Bridgewood though.

Think they want to declare BR.

I would always advocate speaking to the IP in the first instance, especially having got so far into the IVA.

I agree with Jan, it would be in no-one's interest for the IVA to fail after nearly 4 years.

Speak to your IP Carol, you shouldn't be struggling and have done so well to get this far into your IVA. I agree with the others, no-one will want it to fail.

I'm sure your IP will agree a payment break so you can repay your friend. If you have difficulties, it's always best to speak to your IP and try and find a solution.

Good luck xx

I would think, although I could be wrong and stand to be corrected, that the friend will have to wait until after the IVA is completed.

Good point Jan, might be worth asking the IP?

As I say, I'm not sure.

Depending upon how much it was, then the IP should have been consulted initially. I can't see them allowing payments to someone outside of the IVA.
