I need to move. Will my IVA, just started, take any costs incurred ?

Hi. Im only into my second month of paying iva. My ex husband wants to sell the house. I need to move will iva take any costs incurred of the move. I will have to start again removals,furniture etc. Looking forward to your advice

The creditors will want most of your share of the equity released. The IP should be able to negotiate allowances for your half of costs, for the mutual expenses, and also your personal costs. I would also try to get him to allow the costs of setting up new ccomodation (rental deposits etc.). Your IP has a bit of discretion ... hopefully he / she has a bit of a heart too !

I am assuming that there will be a restriction on the house which your IP will need to remove.

Would your ex let you keep some of the furniture?

Is there equity in the property? If so all of your share will have to be paid over unless you put a full and final offer to creditors form the proceeds and get that approved before you sell.

You should be allowed some funds for fees etc - if not, see if you can take a payment break.
