I walked in from work to a letter sat on the bottom of the stairs for me. Straight away my eyes lit up when i saw the yellow paper, i instantly knew this was from vanguard.
I was so happy that my completion certificate had arrived, just before Christmas, Meaning 2020 would be the start of the rest of my life debt free.

However after opening the letter quickly flicking through it was to my disappointment my certificate wasn't included.
I was sure this letter would be it.

I put the letter down went and lay on my bed and watched television for an hour or so.
about 20 mins ago i went to make a cup of tea and while the kettle boiled i thought i'd read the letter to see what it says.

'notice of completion of arrangement'

i had no idea what this was so googled it, and to my amazement this yellow bit of paper is what i've been looking for since my IVA started.
It all feels so surreal in my head i was imagining a certificate like a marriage certificate or something.

So for anyone who is still in an IVA or waiting for there certificate there is hope at the end of the tunnel and you will get there eventually

Glad it has been sorted - it has never been a certificate, just a letter.

Just a scrap od paper -- but so important. Mine was delivered by a girl's marching band and troupe of majorettes

Congratulations - it takes us all by surprise when it arrives as it certainly is not a certificate...but it is such a vital piece of paperwork. Be sure to make some copies of it and store the original somewhere safe.

Now go and enjoy Christmas !
