If we inherited property could we lose it in an IVA?

ho be and husbands have 18000 debts were r thinking of iva but my father is going to inherited us the house ewe live in if he passed away there no mortgage on this house it has not be passed my building regulation so it would be hard to get a mortgage on it without this I'm worried they could take the house if this happen

If he gifts it to you, you will have to pay it across to your IVA

Inheritances during an IVA are payable to the IVA, you would be required to sell the house. For an £18k debt are you sure that an IVA is the best option ?

Are the debts of £18k all joint with your husband?

If no what is the split between joint debts, your sole debts and his sole debts?
