hi we have been in an iva for 20 mths now my husband has ill health his 69 im 52 we have interest only mortgage and have 3 years left to run can we get out of iva due to my husband’s failing health or will i still need to pay please answer

You can try to see if you can close down your IVA with payments to date or you could offer a full and final if you could raise funds from a family member perhaps, otherwise you will have to continue paying.

I would explain your circumstances to your IP and suggest a offer of payments to date based on your ability to continue paying due to change of circumstances of your husbands ill health - they can put it to creditors to gain a decision.

Be prepared to explain in detail your change of circumstances, as I believe the more they are told, the better informed they are to make a decision

We cannot really add much more to the replies already given on this subject in your other posts. It boils down to you and your IP working, hopefully, together to find a way through this. Have you discussed the situation with him or her yet ?
