Hi, I'm considering an iva for myself but not my wife as the vast majority of debt is in my name, my wife may be due some inheritance at some point if her passed grans house ever sells (been on the market for over a year) would this be safe or not?

If the IVA is in your name alone then any inheritance in your wife's name alone will be hers only. Be aware that, in the meantime, she will be fully responsible for any joint debts you may have.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Yes it will be in my name only, she has one or two debts that she will continue to pay and there are no joint debts....good to know👍

If she were minded to, perhaps she could use some of her inheritance to help you settle your IVA early, offer a lump sum payment for a quick settlement (or perhaps avoid an IVA altogether)...
