How long does it take to fall off the register once you've gotten your certificate. Note I haven't contacted anyone since receiving it. I noticed some people on here saying I shouldnt have to do thing. Do I NEED to contact all the credit agencys? Not that should effect the register.

You shouldn't have to do anything -- but it is wise to keep an eye on things to make sure they do happen when they are supposed to and jump in if they don't.
You should come off the register three months after the IS get the certificate ( you can check they have had it by seeing that the IVA has been marked completed on the Register.) The CRA's will then be told by the IS and it should then be shown as completed on credit files. It will drop off of the CRA files at the 6th anniversary.
You do need to check that all the default dates on the CRA files are on or about the start date of the IVA as the defaults will drop off on their own 6th anniversaries.

It drops off the register within 3 months of receiving your CC.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

When was the certificate issued ? The IS should have their copy by now -- I would contact them direct and ask why the IVA is not showing as completed.

It is possible that CF have already issued copies to the Insolvency Service and that the hold up is with those that administer the Insolvency Register.

Well i got off the phone to Credit Fix and the woman told me I had to send those letters (the completion reports) off to the credit agencies and they would then let the insolvency registers know im complete. I quoted what was said here about it being the other way around and she tutted and said no its definitely as I've told you. So now I need to forward those letters to equifax , experian and whatever the third one was.

what a pain.

It's down to your IP to inform the Insolvency Register. As to the agencies, your records should drop after six years but again, it is down to your IP to let them know you have completed. I would certainly query it again.

Pain indeed -- the other one is call credit. Makes you wonder how all the others that didn't do this got sorted :?

Im going to get some solid info online to quote them . They just fob you off and if you mention this place they seem to discredit you straight away. I'm going to call the Insolvency Enquiry Line and see what they say first.

Additional: Wow , Spoke to the lovely Kerisa at the insolvency register team in Birmingham I think it was , and she was very much laughing at Creditfix trying to get me to do their work for them. And she wasn't surprised. She has given me an email address and her name as a contact and I will scan and send in my certificate to them tomorrow . Then itll be back to waiting another 3 months. Pretty disappointing really but I guess I should of queried it sooner.

Please let this be a warning to anyone else experiencing similar issues. Maybe not even just with Creditfix but any lazy agency.

Thanks again.
