Insurance claim - Windfall?

Good afternoon all, I have lost my engagement ring and looking into claiming via my home insurance.

The cash / voucher would obviously go to replacing my ring, but please could you advise if this would be classed as windfall should the claim be accepted and cash offered?

If used for replacement or repair I would think it shouldn't be considered a windfall. However, IP's are taking different views about most things these days, so I would be inclined to ask there.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
