I entered into a IVA a couple of weeks ago and during my run of things going wrong my oven door glass shattered
My insurance company said it was covered and offered me a settlement but when I spoke to them they asked questions about my IVA
Surely they can just replace and make good
Now they are back peddling over my claim
I
Depends what it says in the T&C's - is this house insurance or product insurance?

It's my contents insurance
They haven't said no as such yet but I had to ring to accept settlement
They asked a number of questions which was all the same as when I renewed my policy except since I took it out my IVA was put in place so now it has to go to the underwriters
It is only a small claim but see what happens
Worst thing about having a IVA is you feel ashamed so you can't talk over your situation with family or friends but on the plus side my finances are now manageable
Some insurance companies can be funny about IVA's. If you have paperwork I would check that.
