what is the straightforward answer to having a small overdraft as a buffer. can you have an overdraft or not. ? yes or no. my own IVA as changes hands on a couple of occasions. So which guidelines are you supposed to use. Initially I was allowed up to £500 if necessity called for it with my IP's permission.Fortunately i have managed to stay within my budget. and i only have 4 months to complete my iva. but i do think it should be made a bit clear of the do's and dont's of what is allowable

You should not have an OD and I doubt your bank would agree. If you are this close to completing it's academic really.

As you reference each provider has different rules. During our iva we were not allowed a overdraft, nor the £500 debt which people seem to refer to these days.
If you can manage without then do so for the last few months.
