Hi,

I am just preparing a F&F settlement and am reviewing my income and expenditure - I have started receiving Carers allowance for my little boy (he receives higher rate DLA).

Obviously I am aware that the DLA is counted as income but then offset by costs for him in outgoings - is it the same situation with Carers Allowance - or is this classed as extra income that could go towards available income?

Many thanks

Not sure about that one. It maybe that it is. One of the experts will be along later to advise.
