is it possible for an IVA co to be taken over my son had an IVA with swift, but they appear to have passed him over to another company mid IVA, does everything they have sorted for him still stand?

Yes, this often happens when an IP dies, retires or reduces workload. The IVA will continue as already agreed. Often a new firm will ask you to agree to some changes which you do not have to do.

Yes it does - a lot of companies have folded recently and their portfolios have been sold to others.
