I started the IVA in January 2017 so am nearly 2 years in! Is it 6 years the IVA stays on file for?
Looking to buy my first house the back end of next year so looking for advice beforehand to see what my options are. I hope you can help me.

Yes, the IVA will stay on file for 6 years from the start date. You will not get a mortgage while you are in the IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

As Foggy says not whilst in the IVA, if you were able to settle the IVA early there is a Lender who may consider lending though.
