Hi..
I’ve got some paperwork from 1992 . This deed of assignment through CU Life for a mortgage I had with The universal building society ..
is this anything to do with PPI .?

Couldn't tell you without seeing it but it is possible that there might be PPI involved.

A deed of assignment usually assigns (transfers) something from one party to another.

What you need to look for is if you had Payment Protection Insurance.

As Lisa says, the deed you have hold of is probably the one that assigns the insurance benefits to the mortgage lender in the event of a claim. But, as I say, there might have been an element of PPI charged.
