Hi I taken home after tax,insurance etc £1140. I have a car on finance and a loan which comes to total of £779. I have a phone bill of £32, then have car insurance of £74, and then re-fueling the car 3-4 times a month at £45ish. Plus food it just doesnt work out does it? Im not sure what I can do?

I would try and give the car back but It's on finance and you sign a contract so can't.

Hi darren...it certainly looks like you need some advice from some of the professionals.
An IVA might be appropriate but there are other options too available

Yeah I'm going to try and book in to goto the citizens advice tomorrow and see how I get on.

I'm not sure what other things I can do, apart from bankrupt which I really don't want to do.

Why not also try calling an insolvency practitioner for some advice. If you restructured the loan repayments, or negotiated lower payment terms, this could see you in the clear or at least debt free within a realistic timescale.

Advic from the forum would be to get two or three opinions before making a decision.
There will be a solution out there for you.

Thanks Melanie. I will see if I can find a phone number for one and give them a ring. I'm not really sure what they do but I guess I will when I ring them
