Hi all, I apologise but I have been one of the many 'silent viewers' of this fantastic forum for over three years now but have only just registered.

I have found most if not all the information supportive, informative, happy and at times sad.

I had my last payment confirmed by DFD at the end of August 2010 and was instructed to cancel my DD.
How long shall I leave it before I start ringing to enquire about the where abouts of the COC?
Are the advisors able to track the progress of the COC?

Declan...your help will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance.

Gavin.

Hello Gavin, welcome to the forum and congratulations on completing!

Unfortunately DFD do seem to be slow at sending out completion letters and making sure your name has been removed from the register.

There are no hard and fast rules, but it should be done as soon as possible.

Keep checking the Insovency Register to see if you're still on it. I'd give it a few weeks before phoning and asking though.

Hopefully Declan will pick up on this.

Hi and welcome to the forum from myself too, we can keep this bumped up and hopefully Declan will pick up on it.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer before you receive your COC and your name is removed from the register.

As Jan says keep checking, Helen one of our forum experts is still awaiting her name to be removed from the register too and checks daily x

As noted in my topic, it took Paypal about two months from last payment to send my Certificate of Completion.

Also, my name has disappeared from the Insolvency Register earkier than I expected, but I am not complaining.

I think that you could reasonably expect to wait another 6 to 8 weeks before hearing anything; it is necessary for them to check all of the details and then make the final payments to your creditors before they send you anything.

Congratulations on finishing your IVA, I know that it is a good feeling.

There are hard and fast rules! Your final report and Certificate of Due Completion has to be issued to you within 3 months of the end of the IVA.

Hi all.
Firstly, Gavin - welcome to the forum and congratulations on successfully completing the IVA and I’m more then happy to chase this up internally on your behalf and ensure that you receive the certificate as soon as possible.

With regards the certificates and timescales, this is something that I am looking into closely with a view to speeding up the process.

Gavin -my contact details can be found on my profile under the experts section, if you send me your details I will get working on it first thing.

Thanks
