Hi all

We had our IVA accepted today, feeling a little nervous about it all.

Any advice you can give us would be great!

Congratulations ! Your emotions / thoughts will be all over the place for a few days. I would suggest you read the proposal and chairman's report several times to make sure you fully understand your obligations. Case handlers often mis-interpret clauses or ascribe the wrong version to a client (in haste or ignorance) and need to be checked and challenged. It is your IVA, not theirs, you need to become the expert.

Try to work with your IP, rather than against him or her. Many problems we see here are the result of misunderstanding or lack of communication (on both sides) so keep lines of communication open. Oh ... and get any importnat agreements with your IP in writing (payment breaks, reduced payments etc).

Finally, we are here to support you ... use us :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
