Hi -- it is usually taken in on one side of the I&E balance sheet and then counteracted by equivalent expenses on the expenditure side, so is negated. However, a few IP's do use it as income to increase your IVA repayment !! It should be allocated to the expenses it is designed to actually cover.

We do as Foggy says and list it as an income but exclude it as it is needed for additional costs over and above the guideline figures. Some firms do use it for IVA payments so make sure and shop around.

Some do - some don't.

However with the transition to PIP you need to ensure that the DLA income is ring-fenced as PIP is a higher standard with a large number of people no longer qualifying.
