Hi, I have recently split with my partner. I have a son who I will have 50/50 care of. I've been advised I can get housing benefit even though I'm working. Will this be counted towards my total income? Will it get sucked into the money I pay each month into the IVA?
thanks

It will be taken into account as it is income. Speak to your IP and explain the situation, you may need to do a new I&E.

Yes, it will count as income, but you will have the rent as an allowable expense, so it will be offset by that.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Shouldn't do but you do need to speak to your IP.
