I have been paying into my IVA for 2 years the original debt was £6,010 i have paid £2,663 so far with voluntary contributions £9,000 over 60 months. My IVA company has now changed and contributions have gone up to £13,690 over 64 months is this correct as its more than double my original debt.

Have they explained why ?

Unless there are material changes what was agreed at the outset should remain whether your iva is sold on or not.

Your payments should not alter without a new I&E being done. Which company are you with now?

When they wrote to you to tell you the contributions needed increasing they should have explained why.

Usually this would be because of changes to your income and expenditure.

What explanation did they give you?
