Hi, I finished my IVA years ago. I think I settled it in 2008, after only having it a couple of years. I'm looking now to reclaim PPI and HSBC have requested all of my IVA paperwork to proceed with the claim. After 9 years I can guarantee I don't have the paperwork any more. Is there anywhere I can go to get the paperwork? My first thought would be the company I did the IVA through, but I can't even remember their name!

It might be possible that the Insolvency Service have records still accesible. The chances are that, if HSBC were a creditor back then, they will keep the refund (illegally) to offset the old debt or pay the refund to your old IP for distribution to creditors (the IP might, however, just give it back to you, depending on the amounts involved). In theory the refund does belong to your IVA, albeit it is now closed.

HSBC are notoriously unhelpful when it comes to IVA's.
