We have recently completed our IVA and are in possession of our completion certificate.
Whilst there is no record of it at all on Equifax and I have a credit score of 999 it is present on ClearScore and Experian. We will soon be looking at remortgaging and want to make our credit files as clean as possible.
Can we send our certificate to the credit reference agencies and if so does anyone have any advice on how to do this? email or post?
The IVA will drop off at the 6th anniversary, along with correctly dated defaults. The 999 scoere is not as good as it sounds and is a default score when they don't know what to make of you.
To check your actual file, in real time, you need to visit each CRAs website and order a statutory report --- the summaries on those scoring sites like Clearscore can be two months out of date.
Also, if the default dates are wrong, or things aren't defaulted it can take over a year to get them clear. The ICO are really, really slow to deal with complaints.
